This privacy policy governs your use of the software application Physical Presence in Canada (“Application”) for mobile devices. The Application is an automatic travel journal that logs user's absence from Canada and tracks user's physical presence within Canadian border.
User Provided Information
The Application obtains and stores locally on your device the information you provide when you setup your profile and when manually log your absence outside Canada.
When you setup your profile with the application, you provide (a) the date you became Permanent Resident of Canada, and; (b) date you became a Temporary Resident of Canada if any. When you log your trips, you typically provide (c) dates of the trip, (d) country visited and (e) the reason of the trip.
All provided information is saved locally in your device memory. We don’t transmit, collect, share, backup or in any other way have access to this information. We don't use this information in any way other than to perform necessary calculation locally within the application.
Automatically Collected Information
We collect some anonymous information about your usage of the Application, namely the following: your anonimous device identifier; your device ad identifier; application instance identifier, your IP address; first application start time; profile completion time; status of the automatic trip logger (enabled/disabled); start and finish of location history import process, its completion status and the number of trips logged as the result; manual trip log time; total number of logged trips; start and finish time of Physical Presence Calculator auto-fill process, its completion status and total number of filled trips. We DO NOT collect or retain any personal information such as dates in the user profile, dates of the trips, visited countries or reason of the trips. We DO NOT collect any information you entered in the Physical Presence Calculator web-page during auto-filling process.
If you opt-in for the automatic trip logging, the Application obtains your device approximate location from time to time. The location data is processed locally on your device, the Application DOES NOT transmit your location data anywhere to process. All logged trips are saved locally on your device.
Information Collected from Google Location History
You may choose to automatically import you past trips from Google Location History. The location history is processed locally on your device using a file you download from Google. The Application does not transmit your location history anywhere to process, does not store, share or use your location history in any way other than to locally log your trips.
How do we use collected app usage information
We use collected usage information to make the application more convenient to use and for debug purposes. We also use collected events from time to time to increase perfomance of our Google Ads campaings to promote the app.
The information about your usage of the Application is collected using Google Analytics for Firebase. The access to the data is governed by Google'’s respective privacy policies.
We do not collect or retain your personal data anywhere except for your device memory. If you uninstall the application or reset your phone, your data will be lost . We can not recover or backup your data.
This Privacy Policy may be updated from time to time for any reason. You are advised to consult this Privacy Policy regularly for any changes, as continued use is deemed approval of all changes.
